Two component high functional organic silicon modified polyester resin coating
The organic silicon modified polyester resin obtained by condensing polyester resin (a resin with 80% solid content made from polyols such as trimethylolpropane, diethylene glycol, neopentyl glycol, phthalic anhydride, terephthalic acid, adipic acid, azelaic acid, etc.) and silanol [Ph/(Me+Ph) 43.38%, R/Si=1.39] with a catalyst combines the excellent properties of both, and is a high solid resin. It is mainly used as a film-forming substance, and paints are made by adding pigments, fillers, and additives. After being combined with HDI shrinkage resin and HDI trimer curing agent, it is matched with epoxy primer and coated on the metal surface after appropriate treatment. This room temperature self drying coating It has properties such as resistance to cold and hot cycles, good weather resistance, and good corrosion resistance, and is suitable for painting aircraft and marine facilities.

At present, the hybrid coating system of organic resin and inorganic silicon dioxide has been prepared by the sol-gel method, which is a hot frontier topic in the application of silicone resin in coil coatings. The polyester silica hybrid coil coating prepared by researchers using tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) modified polyester has significantly improved flexibility and hardness. Silica was introduced into the coating film by the sol-gel method, which improved the crosslinking density of the coating and combined the advantages of organic-inorganic materials. However, there is still a lot of work to be done in terms of packaging form, storage stability, physical and mechanical properties, chemical resistance, film formation and application performance of coatings.
Reaction mechanism: As the precursor of sol gel, tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) is added to the polyester oligomer containing light radicals. In the presence of acid catalyst, the ethoxy group in TEOS is first hydrolyzed to form a silicone base, and then condensation reaction is carried out between the silicone light groups, between the silicone light groups and TEOS, and between the silicone base and the silicone base in polyester resin to form an organic-inorganic hybrid coating. The specific reaction equation illustrates that silicon modified polyester, as a base component of coil coatings, has great benefits in improving the surface performance, heat resistance, weather resistance, and other properties of the coating film. Although the production cost of silicon modified polyester is slightly higher than that of polyester resin, it is much cheaper than carbon modified resin and also cheaper than pure silicone resin, making it highly competitive. Especially used as a new growth point for pre coated coil coatings in home appliance boards, it is a good variety and widely sought after.
